einszwei...
A danceinstallation for 2 dancers
by Ilona Pászthy
Part 2 of the triologie about communication
Two rooms – a man – a woman – a wall between them -
A relationship, that connected to nowadays ideas stays just virtual. Lifevideo and preproduced videosfilms are the only way into the world of the other person.
The producktion einszwei.... deals with communications -patterns in relationships in a more and more mediated world. Apart from the traditional way of watching theatre, this piece plays to two sides.. The public will first decide for one side and one „partner“ of the virtual ralationship“, But the public is invited to change sides during the performance, different from our „real life“ it is possible to look through the
eyes of te other person.

„....Four bodies step into a complex exciting dialogue, two real ones and two virtual ones. A woman, a man, each lounging on a flokati. A two side screen obstructs their and also the publics view to the other sex. They get in touch by live video. With unrestrained clubdancing they try to earn the desire of the oter one,.....Erotic, that stays selfrelating all the time. The public decides it´s perspective to the scenery itself. In any case it will only see an excerb, misses alway something in this intelligent concept, wishes to jump in a split second like in „Second life“ to the other side. Ilona Pászthy and her two extremely present performers make that part perceptible, which become stunted by our www.-contacts. Nothing can replace the intensity of a touch or a scent. So the end of this virtuous virtual love happens sudden and banal: logout. A merciless click back to isolation.

...nevertheless it offers much more than a prue theory about the sensual lost in vurtual images. Just the opposite, the power, presence and erotic of a living body shows Ilona Pászthy with a powerful choreography, whose energy convinces through the enormous dynamic... With Olaf Reinecke and Emily Welther in addition she summons dancers, who transform this extrovertic concept in a very determined way. The frustration, that can not really be lived in the virtual world, because each diappointment can be replaced or answered with a new image, is reflected in the dancingparts, that become more and more wild and desperate. This interesting approach of reflecting nowadays methods of communication makes courious to the continuation of this series.
